‘ZDT’ Z-Direction Tensile Strength Tester 84-96
<p><span style="color:#000000"><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif">There are several methods developed to measure the internal bond strength or peel strength of paper and paperboard. The most common are Scott-type internal bond forces, which are dynamic impact testing based on the energy stored when the pendulum is released. The second method is the tensile strength in the Z direction. ZDT measures the tensile strength of a sample sandwiched and compressed between two adhesive tapes. After compression, the sample is separated to determine the maximum tensile strength.</span></span></span></p>
